This study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in advancing higher education and scientific research by examining its key applications, benefits, and challenges. Employing a qualitative review methodology, the research analyzes recent literature and empirical studies that have investigated intelligent learning platforms, adaptive learning analytics, and automated assessment tools, alongside the integration of AI in data analysis and research modeling. The findings demonstrate that AI significantly enhances personalized learning experiences, promotes student engagement, and improves academic performance efficiency through big data processing and predictive analytics. However, challenges related to implementation costs, data protection, ethical concerns, and system reliability remain prominent. The study concludes that the effective and responsible adoption of AI in higher education requires well-defined institutional policies, technical preparedness, capacity building, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure a sustainable balance between innovation and ethical as well as technological commitments.
