Abstract

The study aims to identify the reality of faculty members at the Faculty of Arts at Omar Al-Mukhtar University regarding the use of artificial intelligence applications in scientific research. It relied on a descriptive analytical approach, and the study sample consisted of 77 individuals, who were distributed the questionnaire electronically. The study found that there is a general awareness and understanding among faculty members of the importance of artificial intelligence in scientific research, with very strong tendencies towards its use. However, there are challenges that create a gap in terms of its use. It recommended the need to spread awareness of artificial intelligence and its importance in scientific research in the academic community through the preparation of lectures, workshops, and conferences, and to overcome the infrastructural and technical difficulties that prevent the use of artificial intelligence applications in scientific research
